Friends of EPL bus trip to the Barnes Collection

The Friends of EPL are hosting another bus trip! Don't miss this opportunity to visit the amazing Barnes Collection in Philadelphia. The day includes a guided tour, free time in the museum, and a box lunch in a private dining room.

July 14: Buckets Full of Nature - Color Our World

Join Laura Hopek of the Lehigh County Conservation District
for an interactive and educational 'Color Our World' nature program!

For elementary ages and up.

It's for ALL ages and you get a free book just for joining.

CHILDREN (up to 5th grade) and Family Readers (not yet reading independently): Earn journey beads or stickers for reading (or being read to) and a prize for every two hours, up to 10 hours.

Teens (entering 6th grade up to age 18): Earn scratch-off tickets to redeem for small (and larger) instant prizes throughout the summer. Get two tickets for every two hours spent reading.

ADULTS (18 & up): Complete book reviews for a chance to win a prize (each review earns a raffle ticket). Complete a bingo for a chance to win a prize at the end of the summer -- plus get another free book! Prizes include: A $50 Barnes & Noble gift card; $25 Staples gift card; jigsaw puzzle basket; arts and crafts basket, and a journaling supplies basket.

July 14: Intro to mindfulness

Join Sherry Baublitz of Lehigh Valley Health Network and learn how to use mindfulness to reduce stress, emphasize wellness, and boost cognitive skills!

The latest ART@EPL exhibit features paintings by Gloria Hasel and Sue Skoras. Stop in to absorb the beauty of their work in person, and read more about Gloria and Sue on our blog. And, if you see a painting you'd like to own, contact Sue for info. A portion of each sale benefits the library.
